Pregnancy and Antenatal checkups

Antenatal care is the systematic monitoring of a pregnant woman to track the development of the fetus. A proper antenatal check-up helps to identify any risk factors such as pre-eclampsia, hypertension, gestational diabetes, anaemia, etc. Antenatal care provides the best treatment for any pregnancy complication .it helps to prepare a birth plan and also identify the best way of delivery with minimum complications.

Benefits of Antenatal Care During Pregnancy: -
  • Antenatal care can help detect and manage potential health issues for both the mother and the baby, such as gestational diabetes, hypertension, and infections.
  • Regular check-ups and prenatal screenings can help detect birth defects or other complications early, allowing for timely interventions to improve outcomes.
  • Antenatal care can provide education and support for the mother on topics such as nutrition, exercise, and stress management, which can promote healthy fetal development.
  • Antenatal care can also help prepare the mother for labor and delivery, including providing information on pain management options and birthing plans.
